No. Your team keeps its existing PM system. AlignLane is the shared delivery layer between your agency’s internal project tools and your clients — the part of the work that crosses the boundary.

Sometimes that works. Several PM tools offer free guest or viewer access. AlignLane is for the cases where the other team needs a simpler external view, stricter separation from internal detail, cross-tool visibility, or a clear next-move/commitment layer.

Agencies and their clients first: studios, dev shops, marketing and brand agencies whose clients need a clean delivery view. Inside the product, roles stay neutral (host and partner), so consultancies and vendors fit too.

Not for a read-only public link. Sign-in is required for identity, comments, editable partner-owned tasks or presence avatars.

Yes. Owners can turn the public board off, and can revoke or rotate private token links at any time, optionally with an expiry.

By default, yes. Public boards are indexable on a stable, tokenless public URL. Owners can turn indexing off per board in Board settings, which adds noindex,nofollow and removes the board from future sitemaps. Search-engine removal is not instantaneous. Private token links and sign-in-only boards are never put in sitemaps or canonical tags.

Never. Read-only viewers never count; signed-in contributors count toward plan limits.

Yes. Only shared tasks and approved shared fields enter the board projection. Internal tasks and internal notes are never sent to the shared view.

Private links carry random, unguessable tokens, and only a hash of each token is stored. You can rotate or revoke a link from Share at any time.

No. Private and unlisted links use generic link-preview text. Public boards are public by design, so their title appears in search results and previews.

Yes. Workspace owners can delete transcripts at any time; originals are stored separately from task data.

Today AlignLane supports source-aware bulk imports of a project, board or list export. Live OAuth/webhook sync is released connector by connector, and every connector is labelled Import, Live, Coming soon or Roadmap.
